back in the days of win95 winzip was ok. now i prefer winACE or winRAR they are both good wide range of file accociation none of that tacky interface crap - clean and simple.


have you seen the 4 hour special edition of Apocolipse Now?!

yeah I have been a big winrar fan for a long time. Winzip was really the first well know compression out there, but I lot of stuff I downlaod seems to alwasy be in winrar format.

that depends on when you started computing. I remember using pkzip/pkunizp and arj a lot (yes, the DOS variants).

When my father the "family computer" when I was like 10, ( a 386 at the time) i remember seeing pkzip and pkunzip, but i never used it. Did not know about computers back then to realyl care.
