875P or E7205

Postby joshvee » Mon Jul 14, 2003 8:08 pm

I just bought a Gigabyte GA-8KNXP mobo. Gigabytes latest 875P chipset board. I was wondering if anyone has done a review on this board, or the Gigabyte GA-8KNXP Ultra. The Motherboard Ranking System on this web site doesn't seem to have it listed. Im interested to know if its as good or better than the Gigabyte 8INXP which is currently top of the list, or the Asus P4C800 Deluxe which is 3rd. The Gigabyte 8INXP uses the E7205 chipset. is this as good/better than the 875P chipset?

I would say get the 875 chipset and a 800mhz fsb cpu. The 7205 chipset doesn't support the new 800mhz fsb cpu's.

MOTHERBOARD = MSI 875P NEO LSR
RAM = Corsair 1024mb PC2700 XMS

You could always get an 865 board. Test data I've seen on the MSI board shows it to be faster than a lot of the 875 boards. Also, Gigabyte aren't reknown for the fastest boards.
