I don't stay logged in

Postby shimonmor » Tue Feb 03, 2004 1:21 am

Whenever I leave this site I have to log in every time I return. I do click the "keep me logged in" tab and I do have cookies enabled. I visit a number of other forums and don't have this problem. I don't have this problem with my Mac but only with my new XP machine. I checked to make sure no sites were blocked as far as cookies are concerned. Also when I do log on, I notice that the folders aren't colored yellow to show which folders have new topics. Thanks.

xp?

Postby poundu1 » Fri Feb 06, 2004 12:16 pm

Had a similar situation, not with this site, though
On a sys running 98. This was a hard disk that was set to auto run disk cleanup when drive reaches xx% used.
I cleaned out the hd and the required minimum
was never reached, leaving alone the temp internet files and the other areas that are affected by disk cleanup. XP is alien to me however.

Thanks for the reply but that's not it. It's still doing it and only with this site on this particular computer. Weird.

Well, I figured it out. I just deleted all my cookies and temp files but that didn't work. So I deleted my link to the forum page and then created a new link to the hompage and I stayed logged on. And now I made a link to the forum page and it's working fine. So, I'm not sure what really fixed the problem but I do stay logged on. Weird.

Kicking off all cookies and temp files most likely solved it.
