a number of times when i have wanted to post a reply to a topic i am redirected back to the forum page listing

eg

happened many times on other topics

usually on the second attempt i am able to post a reply

what browser are you using ? IE ? are you all patched ?

if it's IE.. can you do a... help/about internet explorer and post what it says ?

I've never seen any problem here like that..

Tried fixing the problem by clearing "cookies" and temp files then attempting to reply???

cheers for the replies using IE6 all patched up to last week anyway (there are that many patches at the moment).
just deleted cookies, not sure where my temp folder is though.
will have a play and report back

Under Internet Properties (or Options) in the Control Panel. You will have an option to set your ho,e page, Temporary Internet Files ->Delete Cookies - Delete Files {i.e. these are the temp files} - and Settings.

you can also try an IE repair.. or get opera or mozilla.. less exploits are reported with those anyway.
