Posting with Chrome

Postby Hardware Junkie » Tue Nov 12, 2013 8:14 am

Something weird I have noticed when posting with Chrome. The replies are accepted but it appears on the screen like its still trying to process the reply.

Works fine in IE, but not Chrome.

And its random, doesn't happen all the time.

Eventually craps out with:

Code: Select all
Failed sending email :: PHP ::

DEBUG MODE

Line : 234
File : emailer.php

Probably nothing can be done with the old code on the site. Just a heads up for anyone else who comes across it.

Have noted the same result lately, even with Firefox. Don't 'resend' or submit again. Copy the text, then backtrack and 'reload' the page. Likely the posting is there, but some bad code prevents the result from being viewed.

It seems to be isolated to phpBB2 not browsers. PHP 5.x things started going flakey with the 2.0.x phpBB.
