The Asus A7V333 Motherboard is quite a good board.
The Athlon MP processor is used for multiprocessing on a Dual board. It does not have any advantage in single mode.

I disagree, the MP has been proven to use a higher grade of silcon, and is factory unlocked if your a serious O/C you will have a better chance of hitting higher FSB with MP...IMHO...I did some research on this testing 3 xp 1800 retails vs 3 MP 1800 retail and every one of MP's clocked higher than highest clocking XP

Actually that is true. They also handle rising heat a bit better. But if your looking at the advantage of one processor over the other in a desktop system, there is not much difference.

Well when you put it like that I would go with the XP 2000+ if you do not plan on overclocking.

But if it was an XP 1800+ VS an MP 1800+, then the MP would be the chip to go for.

I don't know if AMD is planning on releasing MP versions of the new core. The only reason the MP was released was because the XP could not handle SMP (atleast not well).

New new core might be able to do SMP aswell.
