GeForce2 mx400 with 64mb or
SiS Phantom XP 3800 315 with 128mb
Phanton is 10 dollars cheaper. Would you go with the cheaper bigger card or the more expencive smaller card?
Both are 4xAGP
Appreciate any posts... :?: [/i]

Well, I've never heard of that SiS card, but i'm sure it's a POS. So is the GF2 MX400 though. The SiS card is probably slower, i'm saying this because I've never heard of it and can't even find any reviews on it. If you were in to the budget graphics cards, check out a Radeon 32mb DDR, it blows the GF2 MX's away, and is less or equal to the prices of one of them. Or for a few bucks more you can get a GeForce2 GTS, which is very fast. Just check out www.pricewatch.com and http://www6.tomshardware.com/graphic/02 ... ts-05.html and do the math yourself. BTW there is barely any difference between an MX400 w/ 64mb and one with 32mb, and the MX's barely can be overclocked.

Your Welcome. I just wouldn't buy memory from SiS, not even with their new Xabre line. They simply aren't a competitor for price/performance with ATi, nor nearly as much of a performer as any nVidia in the same time.

The performance of those two cards will be about the same, probably the GeForce will be a little better. If you want to play games, buy the MX400, but if you're looking for everyday image quality, the SiS card is better because the 315 cards are always equipped with a very fast RAMDAC.

But...if you're going to be playing games, surf on over to newegg.com and buy the Visiontek Xtasy 5632 GeForce2GTS-V card for $46. That's a much, much better choice than either of those two.
