Never gonna happen. The miost you'll get from a developer (if you even manage to get that far) is they adhere to ATX standards. How they go about meeting those standards is generally patented, proprietary tech. Gigabyte isn't going to tell you how they make their boards, it't be giving aweay trade secrets to some unkown person who could be working for ASUS, if you get my drift.

Circuitry for a motherboard is VERY proprietary. And with up to five layers of printed circuits in a motherboard, it gets complicated.
But you may be interested in this 10.5 minute video of a Gigabyte motherboard factory.
AMD does offer a bit of lore about motherboard design history. You can Google for motherboard designing and motherboard manufacture.
Good luck with your thesis.

Depending on what your thesis is about, you might be able to use the Arduino as your basis. Its an open source product and you can even build your own from scratch.
