What is the difference between slot 423 and 478? I've been looking at mobos for Intel P4. Some have slot 423 and some 478 but all take the same P4. Is there a difference and what would be the advantage of each? :?:

Socket 423 has 423 pins and is 0.18micron. Socket 478 has 478 pins and is 0.13micron in size. The 478 can achieve much higher clock speeds, especially with the Northwood version where there is 512k cache on the die instead of only 256k cache. It will also support more chipsets in the future. 8)
