Thanks all for your helpful comments and suggestions. These people who have this laptop are supposed to be friends. The wife seems to be on the bottle from time to time and after questioning her and the husband I think she is creating all this password issues when using the PC when bombed. I don't see making any useful headway so I am washing my hands with it. its just a waste of my time trying to fix something that is only going to happen again.

A friend has an older laptop with W10 Home. Recently their Gmail emails have been deleted and there is a loud siren noise. I don't know if the siren noise is coming from the speakers or the laptop itself.

I never heard of a laptop having a siren sound to it. Could this be hardware related? What would cause the gmail emails to be all deleted?

Thanks....All

To me sounds like it is starting in Safe Mode.Finding out if something is preventing it from starting in normal mode requires checking the Windows Event Log with eventvwr. We can try and guide you through this process.
