Just built new machine with Asus Prime B350 Plus mobo. Fails to boot with 1 long 3 short beeps: VGA not detected. It's connected to my ViewSonic VA2323 display using the DVI ports. Shouldn't that be detected as VGA?

I'm also concerned about the connection. When I install the mobo in my Antec Sonata Proto case the connectors didn't seem to fit snuggly up to the thin plate thingy that snaps into the case... like the mounting post were positioned a little too far from the back of the case.

Any ideas?

Ed

Using the on-board video system? Should go as default with the BIOS. But check the user manual about any on-board jumpers.
Ensure that the first paired slots of memory are filled, per the user manual. Two pairs of slots, one of each pair is a different color. Use the same color slot in each pair.
And all board power connectors mated with PSU leads. Try another DVI connector. Maybe not all the required pins are on the one used.
