Rename an opening word document directly

Postby Noel » Sun May 21, 2017 11:10 pm

hello,

It's a question about word 2010. I usually need to edit my paper and change it's name if necessary. And I have to close my word document and rename it, then open it again to edit it. I just hope that I can rename it without coles it. So I can rename it anytime when I get a idea. How can I do that?

Any help will be appreciated.

When you draw down the 'file' menu , should be a 'save as' line. Then go down to the title of the document, right click, rename same and 'save'. Change only the primary name, not the 'tag' name at the end, after the period.

You can just use the save as in word to change its name when save it. Or you can create a sample VBA macro to do that.

Edit: Deleted code text and insecure URL link.
