Emailing large files

Postby c327 » Tue Dec 15, 2015 9:45 am

Using a Windows operating system if that makes a difference? Is there a way of emailing a large sized attached file say 100mb or larger?

The most I see is about 25mb. I had a small video clip about 30mb in size that I wanted to send and it would not go.

Does not depend on the email client used but on what your email provider and the receiver's email provider support.

I have no trouble sending entire CDs over email on some internal networks because no limit was set. Check with your and their ISP on what limit you have. Anything over that use something like wetransfer.com

Some Email providers are not on a limited packet size, others are. Depends on your service contract. A business may have more than 30 MB handling, but pays a premium price for the service.
Some 'home' Email providers do restrict the content type, not wanting executable files sent, unless in a password protected zip or MIME packet.
