Can Outlook Express be used on Windows 10 64 bit ? I am currently using web based Google email and not really thrilled with it. Outlook is also web based and having never used it I don't know if it's going to be any better than Gmail ? I liked the layout of Outlook Express and its simplicity of use.

I'm going through some learning curve with Windows 10, I have not used Vista, 7, 8, 8.1 I really like XP Pro and the way it looked and worked. Already have a few Hot Fixes with 10

I think this will answer your question.. I would if you haven't already done so get an M$ account. It is very useful now to have one...

I read that a few days ago, thanks. I want to get away from a web based email because it takes to long to access it. I check my mail many time during the day and having to constantly type my password is a pain.

I have been told that there are 2 versions of Outlook. One is a part of Office and once you have Office you just install Outlook and put an icon some place handy. The other version is web based which I might just as well stay with Googl Mail.

Should not be need of typing in all access info every time, unless your browser has multiple user/password listings.. or has been set to not automatically enter the info.
Check the 'privacy/security' settings of your browser.

This is where the free desktop email client for Windows went:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Live_Mail

downloads:
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/wind ... abs=we2012

even though 10 not listed in the system requirements, there's a report it will install on 10 (down the thread)
