Is the MX299Q 3D compatible?

Welcome to the

Looking at all the reviews, no 3D is mentioned. Its little brother the MX279Q has no 3D in its specs either...
I have been programming on computers since the ZX81.
I am an apprentice trained Electronics Engineer with qualifications to back it up.
I have been repairing computers since 1996.
Yet to some people I still know nothing...

3-D monitors require either polarized glasses with one eye orientation 90° off-phase to the other, or the antiquated red/blue theater glasses. But the newest technology does provide almost-true 3-D aspects using dedicated monitors and a video card. The screen is lenticular, allowing one eye to see one vertical line while the other eye sees an adjoining line. But they are very expensive!

select 3D & Gaming Monitors
no MX299Q listed or anything M* for that matter, just VG series.

and neither in this report from Asus themself: ... -showcase/
