I have recently been given a used computer and the MB is a MS 6558. Am looking for an online manual or any info about it that I can get. Plan on doing a few upgrades on it and giving it to my father to use. I have been to the MSI website and they don't have it listed. I also send them an email asking for info re this board and all they did was send me a link to their website, obviously they didn't read the email.

This looks like a board that was made for an OEM and everybody can't find the manual.

You are limited by the SIS 650 chip to 400 FSB on CPU and memory to 512 maybe 1 GB.

The live update would be your only hope for drivers:

Do you have a manufacture name on the system?

The mobo may have been made by MSI for Cisco, but they will have noting more to do with it. All support and drivers/BIOS will come only from Cisco. But likely there is an MSI "in-house" mobo identical or very close to that model, for which drivers and manual would be appropriate.
Same is true of other major mobo manufacturers that provide boards for other company names such as Gateway, HP, IBM or others.

You might have better results in getting a true ID of the mobo by watching for the first screen of info when powering up. In the lower left-hand corner would be a string of letters and numbers. That is the BIOS string, a positive ID of the mobo model. The date normally is shown as the first part of the string.
Otherwise, a good diagnostics program such as Everest Ultimate is great for bringing out all the secrets and history of motherboards. www.lavalys.com/ is the site. The program is not expensive to purchase, and there is a free trial version.. but with some features locked out.

Karl, it was supported once:

The OEM name is most likely Galiano 645. I'm going to try and retrieve a manual for you, even though the first link will give you a general idea of the specifications.

You could send them to elhvb@outlook.com, I will put them in the online archives so they can be found again.
