nice recommendation. i'm looking at what i might be able to salvage out of the s2266, 256mb, and 1.7ghz... what's bizarre is that mobo runs for 50-100$ new on the market....and the proc runs ~100 as well. granted i understand my used equip will run substantially lower. maybe a 75$ combo deal might b...

based on that site you gave above, all 1.7ghz with 400fsb are willamette due to the fact that they all come in 256k cache. if that is true (although i'm pretty sure there were some 1.7ghz w/ 512k cache) then i have the willamette and not the northwood.

interesting recommendation for those interested...

this will be an interesting topic if it gets enough people interested in it...as my current ideas are far and wide ranging. here is the dilemma with my current setup: tyan s2266 mobo p4 1.7 400fsb 256mb ddr-266 winxp pro ati radeon 9600pro sb live with those few items in mind i really want a new mob...
