I heard if you shut off the DDC/CI feature in the monitor menu, that might help. I will try and let you know. Firmware flashing would be my last option. This monitor is huge. Its a hassle to even get it into the acer box. I really hope its not the firmware. My monitor label on the back says that it ...

question about soldering irons

I know that you are supposed to use a low wattage iron for circuit board work, but lets say you have a 45watt soldering iron station with temperature control and you set it to its lowest temp. setting. Is that the same as using a low wattage non temp control iron, like the 15 watt iron from radiosha...

general question about wireless n

Im looking to purchase a wireless n router but im not sure if it is a good idea to do that before the IEEE specification is finalized.

I have heard that most draft n routers can update their firmware when the spec is finalized, but im not sure about this.

any suggestions?

Ok. one last question. We have already identified the PSU as the problem, but is it possible for software monitors to show the PSU being normal? What I'm saying is that the program I have, Everest, is reporting the voltages on the 5V standby as being normal i think. it fluctuates quite often between...

OEM processors

What type of packaging does an OEM processor come in? I always buy retail, but this new processor I want to buy is OEM. I don't want the product to arrive at my house banged up.

That is good advice.

On the side, has anyone purchased a PSU from Enermax? They seem reliable and the prices are somewhat reasonable.

I was looking at the antec signature series, but those are way expensive for me.

Ok I recently reformatted my computer and installed vista home premium. The sleep function is fairly new to me, but I assume it is like standby and the case light should blink on the outside of my case right?? Well the light doesn't blink, so I am now excluding the possibility of a software problem....

Which modular power supply would you recommend? I have seen some, but it seems manufacturers prefer the traditional method instead.
