A crazy idea that i've seen work and that is turning 1 into a still so you can destill you own alcohol. The idea is to create a script that puts load on the CPU then creates heat, you have a tube running between the heatsink fins. I'm sure you'll find it if you google it. Haha - had deja vu on that...

Check the BIOS on both systems.. ensure the "wake on activity" controls are enabled for the keyboard and mouse. Your model has a "hot-key" feature which you use for switching between systems. It should be programmable. Thanks Karl - however that doesn't seem to be the problem. A...

Hey, I like that freecycle.org idea. Just checked it out. There's one in my backyard. Who knew? CJ, there's several to choose from in the UK . This of course assumes someone will want what you post up there. Remains to be seen. Yup, I use freecycle it's very good. I got rid of all my kid's guinnea ...

KVM Switch problem

I've got a very simple 2 PC KVM switch sharing monitor keyboard and mouse. It works well. But: On some PCs if I switch the 2nd PC off I lose the keyboard for PC1 - monitor and mouse carry on working fine. Switching the 2nd PC back on allows the keyboard to work again for PC1. Just tested it on two o...

The best/ony use I have so far is a 'sheep dip' for testing dodgy software and iffy sites. It's a 733mhz Celeron, 256RAM running Win 2000.

It's fun messing with virus (viri?) so long as you don't mind the odd format and re-install.
