Eating "LIGHT"?

Was watching TV the other night, a program about ocean life. One scene, small fish and krill are feasting on bio-luminescent phytoplankton. Guess they were having a "light" meal!

Re: MSata SSD not detectable with Award Modular BIOS V4.51PG

"Only" 2047 MB? That is likely just the factory data specs partition, or the Main Boot Record (MBR) for media descriptor and boot path. Formed in a different format that the BIOS can read, until the system is handed over to the OS. As previously noted, the BIOS may not be compatible with o...

Re: MSata SSD not detectable with Award Modular BIOS V4.51PG

Win 95, Win 98, W2K and Win ME are obsolete.. no longer honored or acceptable for Internet access. Same now for Win XP and Vista.. no support from MS. Maybe OK for private use, older gaming or such. That motherboard may not be compatible with newer Windows versions (7 and later). https://answers.mic...

Re: ccleaner new version...

Use the 'msconfig' command to see what else causes it to return. Likely a second executable file for the program, like 'show icon' or similarly worded.. The Task Manager has the 'services' tab that shows all. Look at file names in the program directory, see what has an 'exe' tag name.

Re: HELP WITH DELL HELL

I also have an archive of older and current motherboard models and drivers. But for my access only. That bit about Intel not keeping alive the link about the SE440 BX-3 is that it is not an original or proprietary design by Intel. Other in-house designs and board models may have archive access for m...

Re: HELP WITH DELL HELL

In the more than 30+ years I have worked with and repaired computers, "have seen it all" in a sense. A lot of brands have their own proprietary designs and features, and BIOS. Compaq, Digital and HP had real oddball designs at one time. IBM had their own oddball "Model 60" and &q...

Re: HELP WITH DELL HELL

Understood, evasive .. "made for" by Intel for Dell. Major chipsets and some features may be similar, but other features priority to Dell's design. That last character, "3", of the SE440BX-3 description, denotes a version different from "2" but may have some similar ref...

Re: HELP WITH DELL HELL

The SE440BX-3 series motherboard was used in several computers. Likely there still is a file in an archive of either Intel or another company, but may be hard to find. The common features of the board may be in all BIOS types, but each branded model can have unique features that are not compatible w...

Thai Cave Rescue

Likely almost everyone is aware of the children and coach that were trapped in the Thailand cave when flooding from rains marooned them. The rescue efforts were very successful, although one experienced pro diver did lose his life. The Discovery Channel® (CATV channel) did a quick video production o...
