Re: Does anyone still play Battlefield 1942?

You would have to join a server group. The process has changed from the original theme, with a different gaming provider now running the playing field. A link to active servers here.. https://answers.ea.com/t5/Other-Battlefield-Games/Battlefield-1942-and-Vietnam-online-play/td-p/3553479 Ensure your ...

Re: Internet Sales Tax.. Pro or Con?

The most painful "thorn" in this proposed plan is whether the state the goods are sold in, or the state the recipient lives in, gets the tax credits. Of course each side demands priority. But which entity is truly the 'boss' faction? Then possibly will there be Federal tax assessments? The...

Re: Alexa Needs "Ear Plugs"!!

On the contrary, walls do "talk" in a sense. Similar to any membrane that vibrates to sounds from one side, those sounds can be propagated to the other side.. albeit weaker. Even window panes fitted with vibration sensors can alert to certain sounds from great distances.

Re: Award Modular Bios 02/27/97-i430VX-2A59GF3BC-00

On search of that i430 BIOS, found there may be several different versions.. "Condor", "Falcon", "Eagle" and others. Sample site: http://www.motherboard.cz/driver/flexus.htm Did a deep search at www.intel.com/ but no listing for that i430VX. Do have a BIOS file in my ar...

Re: Windows 10 Pro Processes

Have a base line laptop with Win 10, same effects. A lot of processes that seem excessive. The Task Manager can display all the programs and processes that are active, and overall performance. Any listings for "svchost" can be for individual processes, and there may be a lot. Don't stop th...

Re: Windows software RAID vs Hardware RAID

Had to delete your link to "vdizzy" as it is a questionable site, more an ad for personnel needs. A serious question as to what type of RAID array. But the setup depends on system needs.. what type of business, clientele, and number of customers daily. Each RAID configuration has its benef...

Re: GPU has stopped Folding. [SOLVED]

Good news. With video drivers, sometimes a 'newer' version has negative issues that older versions did not have. Had similar problems when I was doing the [email protected]. The nVidia driver sometimes stopped responding with my GTX460 card. Was latest version, but had issues. Rolled back to a previously known-go...

Re: GPU has stopped Folding.

Check the console, see if the program is 'paused' for some reason. Latest client for the [email protected] process? Maybe the Stanford servers are down, possibly "full" registers. You can check if your server is on line or not.. http://fah-web.stanford.edu/pybeta/serverstat.html Maybe some help here.. h...

Re: Looking for EP-51MVP3E-m bios

Sometimes, a jumper setting that is not listed may give a higher FSB speed, or higher multiplier for the CPU needs. But may be unstable. Older motherboards had several base frequency settings, such as 33 MHz to possibly 100 MHz. Multipliers for CPU FSB could be 1.5x to 6x. But the memory has to be c...
