Re: Which motherboard and processor combo?

Having seen the recent developments at Intel where they both need to scramble to fix bugs at a level close to the hardware and they seem to have production problems that drive up the prices, yeah, AMD seems to be a good choice right now.

Compaq BMW-2 motherboard, it is an OEM version of MiTac 6513WU. We have a manual for it but not until the component level

Your best bet will be someone that has the same board and the same revision of the board.

Re: Motherboard CH-4988 Ver 3.0

60mAh seems to be standard but I don't see why an 80mAh one would not work. Just make sure it is 3.6v and you get the polarity right when soldering it back in.

Re: What happened to my first post for help?

Well, at the moment everybody in tech has their hands full in getting remote users to work from home. So it takes more time for the side projects to get attention. We're all volunteers here and most if not all of us have a daytime job. I have answered your post, if you have more questions, please ask.

Re: Mother board

Overheating, wrong mains voltage, lightning, wrong processor, wrong memory, wrong cabling.

Can be many reasons. In general, spend money on a proper power supply and CPU cooler, make sure the system is not in a dusty area, that should take care of most of the problems.
