Go into a local PC repair place (not a retail chain like Walmart), and have a discussion with them about what your looking for and budget.

What is offered here for ideas may not be available where ...

From what I can decipher from the manual:

1 and 2
3 and 4
5 and 6

^^ are paired so individual (like just 1) disability won't work AFAIK..

7 and 8 are listed separately but mentioned on the ...

Chances are where it's probably a butchered AMI BIOS, there will be little luck getting the functionality you are looking for.

Look at the audio jacks on the back panel. The color of the socket is specific to the use. Green is commonly the 'output'

That's a point I was trying to make earlier in the thread.

Ok so the board used in the system is a Narra5 board.. Of coarse providing it is indeed the original board..

Thanks man, PSU is NON Compaq one, so i guess if out of case will have negative results only choice will be buy new board for it.

No there should be no ill effects from trying it outside the case. ...

not to my knowledge (on the PSU, causing bad caps.).. But certain brands of PSU's used in Compaq/HP systems have been susceptible to bad caps..

bad caps is really the same as any other faulty mass ...

And another thing I just thought of... IIRC that board is subject to bad caps, that may or may not be the culprit as well..
