Future Tech that didn't make it

There were rotary engines and Betamax players, what else can you think of, and will electric cars be next, lol?

Best musclecars?

Which ones would you select from the past and the present? Classic T/As had style, and the Chrysler SRT8 Core seems to represent modern muscle best. I guess this is about some models we would like to own, space and money permitting, lol. http://photos3.automanager.com/020773/5050ace53b1848e8959e4a5b...

Hmm..........well, I can't remember what it was called, but my grandmother bought me a handheld racing game way back when, must have been the late 70's. Mattel Auto Race, I think. I should ask my aunt, for all I know that game is still in the attic somewhere. :o Nothing fancy, but a heck of a lot o...

Ugh.....I was gonna say Crash Team Racing, but that didn't come out until two years after Gran Tursimo. You already mentioned Pole Position, that one is good for me. Got it when it came out. Ha, ha, yes, we are talking about the killer racing games of the '70s to mid '90s. At one time half or...

Racing before Gran Turismo

What racing games, arcade & console, would you say were the great games prior to Gran Turismo? Pole Position and Bump N' Jump are pretty legendary. 8) http://www.atariage.com/7800/screenshots/s_PolePosition_2.png http://www.atariage.com/2600/boxes/b_BumpNJump_Telegames_front.jpg Bump N' Jump Firebird

Honestly, I think some of it is that people are just plain uneducated about this stuff, and there's no more family business to go to. One thing I have also noticed a lot in modern corporate affairs is the importance of share price and the stockholder. This has always been key, but since 2000 it has...

I think it really has to do with Toyota pushing volume rather than quality in the last 10 years. Yesterday I was at the lights and next to me was a Prius, and then another Prius pulled up. I wasn't around back then, but this is how it must have felt when Henry Ford ruled the world with the Model T. ...

I know someone that just fitted some rear LED lights to his new VW Golf. He immediately got error messages from the dasboard saying his bulbs were burnt out. The dealer had to reset the onboard computer so the car knew LED lights were now fitted. I think this shows how complex cars are these days, a...

Off topic, but case in point. I have a great microwave. Works like a champ, use the meat temp probe, I've cooked turkeys in that thing that came out better than if I'd used a regular oven. Fully programmable, weighs a ton, cannot kill this thing. It's an Amana, had a commercial unit built into a ho...

I know someone in Ontario that just picked up a clean 1977 Cougar XR-7 with 2 barrel 302 off a dealer's lot. Drives very well after the carb was taken off and cleaned up. I was thinking that a car of this age would have had to have its airbags changed twice by now, if it had any to start with, which...
