Re: Telnet Output
I thought you can set up logging for the session, within the session... rather than specifying the connection in the first command, try just getting into telnet, then setting the logfile (to whatever file/path you want) and then open the connection, do the show... telnet set logfile filename open 10...

Re: Reinstallation of Windows 10
I don't think you can - you need that activation code. Typically it's found somewhere on the case on a sticker, but...if it was a display, they most likely removed it (for obvious reasons).

Re: Laptop does not recognize USB (flash drives or transfer
Have you tried just having the controllers reinstall entirely?
Go to Device Manager.
Expand Universal Serial Bus controllers. Select device and select Uninstall.
Restart your computer - USB controllers will automatically (re)install.

Re: Internet Speed
Nah, that is from long time ago for telephone lines and dialup. Those things do not apply when using xDSL/cable/fiber. That does jog a memory of my friends house (who's father was an at-home IT consultant, with all the best toys of the day) which had state-of-the-art ISDN line..."rated speed&q...

Re: Internet Speed
I don't think I've ever heard that before... Perhaps they are talking about advertised vs. actual expectations? 122/119 was your actual speed when you ran that test - if you run it again it could 90/50...really it just comes down to what your advertised numbers are (I'm assuming/hoping yours is 120/...

Re: Gigabyte AMD based MB & bootable programs not loading
Honestly, I hope it is the drive - it's a simple fix, but it's beyond me why it makes a difference. I ended up buying another ultra-cheap dvd read-only drive and that one works perfectly, but the nicer/newer dvdr wouldn't.

Re: Gigabyte AMD based MB & bootable programs not loading
If you're still having problems with only what is using the optical drives, I would highly recommend getting an older (simpler?) drive if you can find one. My last build I couldn't load Windows because for whatever reason my newer drive wouldn't read the media - I pulled out an ancient 4x/8x dvdr I ...

Re: Good Tutorial For Dual Boot of Win7 and Linux
just get two of the exact same drives - install OS on first, unplug, plug in second, install second OS on second.
plug in the one you want to use, boot, easy-peasy.

Re: Good Tutorial For Dual Boot of Win7 and Linux
I would tend to agree - I haven't played around with at-home Linux distros in many many years, but all too often when I used to I ended up reloading operating systems way too often.
They just didn't like sharing bootloaders...glad to see some thing just never change.
