Re: Your favorite game
Since the thread was brought to life again, I'll bite. Dead Space 1-3 . Just love the series. Bit of spookiness throughout, great music and sound effects. I'm normally a first person shooter only sort of guy but the third person view in Dead Space works for me. http://img11.hostingpics.net/pics/8389...

Re: Brand Names that became almost product names
COKE may well be a brand name on it's own but when I lived in Texas (moved there, not born n raised), COKE was used by many to stand for all manner of sodas...kinda'sorta. I was so embarrassed when it had to be explained to me at my first real Texas bbq get'together at a friend's ranch. His daughter...

Re: Anyone use a 25ft high speed HDMI cable?
Thanks, Karl. I believe I've decided to just go with a 15ft cable for now. It will "just" be long enough. Will likely go with a 26 or 24 AWG but might simply go with the Rosewill 15ft. It is 28 WGA but has plenty of happy campers using it with no complaints. If I had a bottomless wallet, w...

Anyone use a 25ft high speed HDMI cable?
Has anyone here used a 25ft high speed HDMI cable for their HDTV? Also, if you remember the maker and AWG that would be great. Looking to possibly purchase and want to compare/consider experiences by others before deciding on length. I am aware of Monoprice, Rosewill, and some others. I've read seve...

Re: Windows 7 Pro or ULTIMATE!!! eBay listings
just get your Win7, wait till Win10 comes for free and upgrade to that. You won't spend extra $$, you'll get your functionality, and you'll be on the newest platform of Windows(avoiding your UNIX dislike) for a considerable number of years into the future. you won't need ultimate. professional will...

Re: Firefox/Thunderbird Issue
Same here but no Thunderbird. Let's say I have a Flash-driven chat window open as a separate window (ie; not a tab), it will occasionally try to bleed through (flickers) through Firefox. I've even experienced already having closed that other window and the flicker or ghost remnants happen. So since ...

Re: Firefox/Thunderbird Issue
Mark, I've noticed the same or similar issue randomly with Firefox since upgrading to 33.0. No set circumstances to when it does it, necessarily but have noticed it when used in conjuction with a Flash window opened, chat, etc. Never experienced it before the upgrade. Doesn't always occur in that ci...
