thats kinda what i was thinking, so it looks like a UPS is in order to see if a power dip is the casue.

Intel D875 mobo, false cpu temp alarms (I think)
I recently built a system with an intel d875pzlk motherboard and a 2.8c cpu, 512MB PC3200, Win XP Pro. Now all my temps show normal 79-84 F, but randomly the intel active monitor will pop an alert that says the cpu temp is above the threshold. It will say that it is 235F!!, this is always accompanie...
