I use an old version of nero (nero 7) and I use IE 7. Is IE tied to the windows file explorer?

The thing is it is not nero that is asking to burn to a disk... it is the windows explorer (right from my computer)

"This device is working properly."

Its not the device... it has something to do with windows explorer or something. It's not a big deal I use linux most of the time anyways... It is just an annoyance that is all.

No, It is not a burn problem... it is a problem with explorer. I have tested that. It does it with all disks... it thinks all disks (burned and factory) can be written to, but if i use anything else i can read it fine. Explorer just wants to burn to anything. Using command prompt I can get to the cd...

CD drive + CD + Vista + explorer shows as blank media

I use linux for most of the time so this is not a big issue, but for some reason whenever I put any cd into the cd drive and then double click on it from the my computer, It tells me it is blank and gives me a box to enter the name for the cd session to be burned. I know this is a problem with windo...

Has anyone tried those two together? I just installed it and for some reason I can't get the Ethernet or the Wifi to work. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can get it to? The system seemed to pick up my wireless card but not the ethernet, and the wireless device doesn't seem to show up i...

ya

I look at the logs all the time (/var/log/auth.log) The point is i get servers who find my server and then try to brute force it by trying to log onto a dictionary of user names and junk like that. I know the chances of them finding one is slim, but I would like to put in some sort of countermeasure.

SSH and IPTABLES?

Is there a way i can get it so if someone keeps trying to hack my ssh it will automatically add them to the drop list? Or set up the ssh server to somehow stop letting them to connect after a few failed attempts?

Debian Linux if you need to know
