I don't know that there is any advantage to running the newest version of [email protected] software. Have you tried Windows Update Automated Troubleshooter?

I would give that a try before reinstalling SP3....sounds risky to me.

If you're using the Systray version, you can access those file by clicking Start -> Programs -> [email protected] then selecting [email protected] data files. Ted, what version of the client are you running now? Version info should be listed at the beginning of your current fahlog.txt file. Have you tried deleting the fahcore and queue.dat files from the [email protected] directory? The client will download a new core and start a new queue when you restart the client. ...

I have to agree with evasive, bad caps are still a big problem. I just finished recapping my Acer LCD monitor. 6 bad caps on the power board. Here's a reference to a monitor like yours on the bad caps forum.
