So if there is no way anyone can think of getting the cable signal across the room without stringing wires, is there a way to get the ethernet connection over here instead.

Big problem with that solution is that I live in an apartment so I can't have another jack put in or anything. Running the cable along the wall would be hard cause it would have to go across the door to the porch and around the dining room to get all the way to the computer cubby. Layout sucks for t...

Wireless Cable Internet

I've seen wireless devices at stores before that can transmit a cable signal wirelessly to a receiver. They always list on the packaging it is for transferring cable television to wherever you need it. Can this work also for the internet signal and has anyone tried it? I have only one cable outlet a...

The question you should be asking is will a 7800GT work with your motherboard. It only comes in a PCIe unless I'm mistaken.

I just ordered that 7800GT last night around 3am and the rebate wasn't listed but it looks like I'm elgible for it since it was techinically the 30th. Cool.

Definitely go for the 7800GT, I think it's a better buy than the 6800GT without the rebate but the $20 just makes it easier.

Well I went ahead and ordered a 450W CoolerMaster since I couldn't find anything bad about them and went with 1 250gb SATA instead of the 2 80's.

It's sad that this is the first time I've visited here in 3 years and my sig doesn't need to be changed.

Quick advice needed....

Allright I'm about to order some parts for a new machine but I have a couple hang-ups about it. Will my 380W power supply I have now be able to power an AMD 64 3200+ (most likely will OC to a 3500), a GeForce 7800GT, 2 SATA hard drives and a DVD burner? It's an Antec TruePower and has 18A on the +12...

Power Supply Wattage

What is the absolute lowest power supply do you think could run a 2.8Cghz Pentium 4, ATI 9800 Pro, CD Writer, DVD Drive, WD 80gb HDD?

I have a 300W supply, completely broke and buying a new one is NOT an option.

Thanks
