Re: newegg stock on cpu's

maybe my post was unclear... they do have low priced cpu's at newegg. just not any that are any good. 2200g/3200g both out of stock, or only buy used, or at $70 bucks more from a third party?
are they gonna restock those?

newegg stock on cpu's

seeing an unusual dearth of amd cpu's at newegg currently. is this because they sold all their inventory in the last couple months leading up to xmas and new inventory is on the way, or is it a sign of a change of some sort where they are only selling mid/high priced cpu's?

Re: no cursor at lock screen...

found this registry fix to change the way the lock screen works... "Get Rid of the Useless Lock Screen" "HKEY_LOCAL_Machine\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows and create a new key called Personalization if it doesn't already exist. Within the Personalization key, create a DWORD (32-b...

Re: Installing Win7 on 4TB drive

reading through this, the very beginning begs the question... when you first installed 7 to this hdd, i'm wondering why it did not format the drive gpt in the first place. is that because you didn't have uefi booting activated in the mobo bios? I think even with legacy mode, the windows installer of...

Re: Drive cloned to SDD boots but doesn't not load.

not only is the chipset probably way different... I think windows10 does not like to be changed to a different motherboard if it is an installation from oem disk, and you will have difficulty getting m$ to activate it. maybe you used a retail version of win10? but yeah, what evasive said... the head...

Re: no cursor at lock screen...

no cursor at lock screen...

a win10 machine here acts differently recently... on boot, the lock screen shows with no login line in the middle, and no cursor showing. if I move the mouse then click or hit a key on the kb, the cursor shows and I can login. if I do nothing for a minute or so, the screen will go black after about ...

Re: ccleaner new version...

just an update... ccleaner has a new version now that takes that whole system tray component out of the picture unless you enable "smart cleaning"... so all is good.
