kool. I supose the big question is how many drives can the x58 chipset handle before it reaches it's ceiling? I think 5 will be getting pretty close as I know sata 2 can only handle 300mb/sec.

nah the trial version of hd tune. How much of an increase would another 500gb drive add? I've got a spare one laying around collecting dust so I'm thinking of putting it into my raid. I'm happy with the average read speeds of 230 mb/sec, but I would like alil more then 130mb/sec write speeds

More then likley, but I still dont understand nor do I like the huge price hike we have to pay. Think I will be finding me an etailer from the us and importing a card, it'd still work out cheaper lol

australia officially sucks

As the topic says, Aus really sucks big time. I have jus seen the preorder prices for the gtx 480 cards and theyre stupidly high at over 800 bucks. Yet new egg have them for 499 us. Now if you do a conversion thats stil only like 550 aus. Where in gods name do the retailers get an 800 price tag from?

Ok, I know this is an old post, but I have recently found and fixed the problem. It all came down to the bios. I updated to the new f10 bios last night from the gigabyte website and everything runs as smooth as silk at all rated manufacturer settings now :D.
