The computer has many components including the CPU, the motherboard, the video card and the memory but it can’t operate without one thing, the Power Supply Unit. Without power the computer becomes a case with electronics inside it. One of the main considerations of a computerhas to be an adequate power supply without which the computer cannot operate no matter how fast or powerful the video card(s) or other components are in a system.

XFX is a division of Pine Technologies a Korean based company. XFX stated a few years ago making video cards based upon NVIDIA graphics chips. They’ve come a long way since then branching out into other markets like Power Supplies, multiple-monitor stands and computer components. Today’s review is on the XFX Pro Series Core Edition 650W Power Supply. This features 80 Plus Bronze certification, and EasyRail which is single rail technology on a PSU that is designed for the computer that wants reliable power without all of the wattage and electric bills a 1300W PSU would entail.

The marketing speak about EasyRail and 80 PLUS Bronze aside, this PSU delivers as promised a dependable unit with solid temperature and power performance at an affordable price earning a Value Award.
