The DTS 5.1 Channel Virtual Surround Sound feature that came with the gaming headset was phenomenal. This setting heavily improves the sound that comes from any audio file by making the headset sound as if you are listening to surround speakers. There also was a voice clarification and bass enhancement slider which allowed for user configurability. Overall, it greatly increased the sound of music and movies files. The Surround Sensation made you feel like you were in a concert with huge speakers all around you or made you feel like you were in a movie theatre enjoying high definition surround sound. I think the DTS Surround Sensation was a great addition to the headset and it would be safe to say that they would not be able to contend with competitors if they did not incorporate it. It also has a voice clarification, bass enhancement and LFE mixing which all contribute to the increase of the overall quality and performance of the Shock One gaming headset.
