The Black Element gaming mouse has a pretty standard size and is very symmetric. It has a rather nice rubber finish that is both sleek and comfortable. On the top of the mouse there is a scroll wheel and on-the-fly DPI switching keys. There are four adjustable levels that can range from 100 to 6500 DPI. Also, there is a profile switch button which includes 5 game profiles that can be customized and saved onto the mouse.
Increased DPI or Dots Per Inch literally just means that there is more sensitivity in the mouse’s movement. If the DPI setting is anywhere above 3200 DPI, one small move can move the cursor from the left end to the right end of the screen. However, if the DPI setting is anywhere below 1200 DPI, your cursor will barely move 5 cm across the screen when trying to move the mouse. Some users may find lower DPI settings good for sniping or making small yet accurate movements, while other users will set higher DPI settings for more spraying and quick reflexes.
The scroll wheel’s sensitivity can be modified and can act as a middle button if need be. However, there are no side buttons for the scroll wheel. However, there are four buttons on the left and right side of the mouse. There are three buttons on the left side of the mouse; forwards, programmable key, and backwards. And there is another extra programmable key on the right side of the mouse.
Also, this mouse has customizable weights that can be changed on the bottom of the mouse. It comes with 5 circular weights rated at 4.5 grams each. They are held together in a nice rubber casing with place holders for each individual weight. This is very advantageous for users because they can customize their mouse to be heavier or lighter. The overall feel of the mouse is surprisingly comfortable since I am more use to bigger mice like the Logitech Performance Mouse reviewed previously.
In terms of accessories, Tt eSPORTS has included a nice carrying pouch and stickers. The mouse fits nicely inside the pouch and has small flaps inside to carry the weights as well. The cord itself is braided with a shoelace type texture and a built-in velcro strap. Although I am not fond of wired mice, this cord does not stay taught or tight at all; it just feels smooth and flexible. Now let’s go over some of the features and specifications that come with the Black Element Gaming mouse.
