Opening the case is a breeze with the thumb screws holding the sides in place. Thumbscrews are a nice touch as well as the painted black interior of the case. One again could wish for a window on the left side of the case but such a feature would have added to the cost of what is supposed to be an inexpensive case.
The motherboard tray has the mounting locations for the standoffs for both ATX and MicroATX motherboards. The MATX is installed in the same locations, meaning that there is no need for labeling. There is a hole behind where the CPU would be installed, meaning that the need for a removable tray for the motherboard is relieved. A $35 case with a CPU hole is a rarity but is due to the commonality of the Precision design.
The PS04B case has four 5.25” drive bays located on top of the case. Each of the drives are installed though a tool-less mechanism. To lock the drives into place simply flip the lever into the lock position. To unlock the drives, simply flip the lever into the unlocked position. There are also five 3.5” drive positions with tool-less locks that work in the same manner. You can easily use screws to lock the drives into place by removing the tool-less locks from the screw holes.
