The SilverStone case is completely black. The front of the case has a ribbed look that makes it look like the ribcage from an Alien from the Aliens series. The front of the SilverStone PS04B case has four 5.25” drive bays for optical drives. Below the drive bays is the front panel I/O consisting of two USB 2.0 ports and the FP audio jacks. Below that is a mesh area where the front 120mm fan would reside if installed (it’s optional).
The side panels are full blocks, meaning that you can’t see inside the case window without getting a side panel with a window. The reason for the window requirement is SilverStone painted the interior all-black, making this a perfect opportunity to showcase the interior of the case. The case is priced at $35, making this a luxury and not a necessity. The case sides are held in place by thumbscrews, making for easy removal of the sides.
The rear of the case has the standard I/O area with seven PCI slots open for installing devices. Here is the lone 120mm fan location on the case that’s included. The PSU is located on the bottom of the case and there are also two holes for water-cooling systems with rubber Grommets to the right of the PCI slots. The bottom of the case is where the feet of the case are. There is also a dust filter hole below where the PSU would be located, which is a very nice feature.
