Sapphire bundles their new card inside a nice white box which they use for their Vapor-X cards. The front of the box has the Sapphire logo on the upper left hand corner along with a sticker for their Award winning system cooling design (Vapor-X) below that. The background shows an ice field with a penguin standing on a block of ice.
The name of the card is in the center of the box front with 1GB of GDDR5 and Sapphire’s TriXX overclocking prominently featured next to that. The bottom has a list of the major features of the HD 6870 including Radeon Graphics, AMD Vision, DirectX 11 and more. The back of the box has the product highlights and features explained along with a group of awards from various publications.
Opening the box we find that Sapphire has as always included a box within the box. The card itself is placed inside a cardboard tray on the top with an anti-static bag protecting the card during shipment and when taking it outside of the box. The bundle itself consists of two 6-pin to Molex adapters, a CrossfireX bridge, the driver DVD containing the drivers and Sapphire’s TriXX overclocking utility a DVI to VGA adapter a mini-HDMI to HDMI cable and a HDMI cable.
