Now let’s wrap this up with some final thoughts on this new board from Sapphire. This particular board isn’t going to appeal to everyone but with the current economic situation it will be an option that most will probably be looking at. The enthusiast market isn’t going to very excited about this platform but they may look at purchasing something like this for a backup system. This board does have a single PCI Express x16 lane for dedicated graphics and they’ll have to option of using the embedded graphics to boost their performance. That’s a pretty good deal if you think about it.
This board looks pretty good actually. It comes with plenty of connection options and will appeal to those that want to use this for a home office or home theater pc. It is a standard ATX board but it’s small enough to fit into any mid-tower case that you’d want to use. I could even see modders using this for an inexpensive rig that they’d want to just show off their skills. This board really does have many options that will appeal to a wide range of users.
OK, with all of that out of the way let me give you my final impressions. This board has proven to have really good performance at a reasonable price. What this means is that if you’re on a budget, and you just need something that will perform really well, then this is the board for you. It was very easy to install and the BIOS is easy to navigate. The included features and applications perform really well and will give you lots of options for tweaking and performance enhancement. This board is able to use the embedded graphics from the processor so you don’t even need to purchase a discrete graphics solution if you don’t plan on doing anything too graphically intensive. Contrary to what you might think, not everyone is into high-end gaming. In fact, with the current economic situation it’s getting pretty expensive to dive into high-end gaming if you don’t already have the hardware. I would suggest this product to anyone that is looking to build their first system. I was very impressed with ease of installation and the quality of the embedded graphics. You can always add a second graphics card later on if you want to boost your performance. This board comes with really good 8 channel HD audio and it also features Bluetooth 2.1 connectivity. I don’t’ think you could really ask for much more for this price. Sapphire has again delivered a product that really shines when you compare the price and the features that are provided.
