Sapphire Edge HD2 Mini PC Review

Thu, 2011-09-15 19:15 -- Shane N.

Most of the time buying lower end PCs can seem like a waste of money since they only last about a year and if you had spent just a bit more money it would usually doubles its life. However, with Sapphire’s Edge HD2 Mini PC you can definitely say that this will be the exception to the rule. It’s small, lightweight, and packs a punch. With its Intel Atom CPU and 2GB of RAM, it can perform just as well as a desktop/tower without all the extra space. It saves energy and space which is great for consumers, home offices, and small businesses.

However, there were some things that I didn’t like about it as well. No included DVI cord left me a bit confused since I didn’t understand why they chose to include an adapter but no extra cord to plug it in. And the extra CD I still don’t understand since I was able to plug it into my monitor and other components with any problem. Overall, this mini PC is definitely a great buy because it’s affordable and performs just as well or even better than its competitors. It comes into the market at around $350 dollars and is hot product with top value.

Even though Black Friday is around the corner, buying a full tower PC can be expensive for any individual. Buying premade ones at Best Buy or Frys can still start around $200 dollars and building a PC from scratch is becoming a scarce skill these days.
