MSI P55A Fuzion Motherboard Review

MSI has hit a home run in many respects with the P55A Fuzion motherboard. This board has all of the features of the P55 platform and adds a new feature that only two boards on the market have in terms of the Lucid Fuzion technology. This allows you to install a NVIDIA card along with an ATI card at the same time to improve performance. This has the benefit of installing a new card without losing the benefit of the older card getting free performance is always a good thing. The other board is an AMD 870 based motherboard from MSI or the Big Bang motherboard from them as well. The 870A Fuzion board has the distinction of being the only AMD chipset motherboard on the market to support either SLI or CrossfireX. True to function, the MSI P55A Fuzion does the job it is supposed to do and does it well. Hopefully we will see other manufacturers make use of this technology as choice is better. One thing to keep in mind is that many games will be CPU limited if you run this board with multiple high end graphics cards like the GeForce GTX 470 and HD 5850 cards. When the Lucid technology works it works well.
