Okay so hopefully now you have yourself a fully functioning HD 6970 and are a happy camper in doing so, your new card should have all of the cores and clocks at the HD 6970 default settings. If you downloaded and used the GPUZ utility you should see the differences between the two in the two shots you have taken. Below are the two shots I took, the first being the standard HD 6950, and the second of the now flashed card showing it being a 6970. I hope you had as much fun as I did with this and enjoy having a faster more expensive card for just a few minutes of work. As an Editors note: if you fry the card trying to overclock it as a 6970 and you send the card in for warranty it will be voided as they will be able to tell what you have done., however any other error such as screen tears or memory can usually be fixed by flashing the BIOS back to its original or newer released BIOS. If this does not fix the errors your warranty will not be voided as at least the card will show its still a 6950.
