GIGABYTE AMD RADEON HD 6950 VGA Review

Mon, 2010-12-20 20:08 -- Elric Phares

One thing that AMD has going for it this launch is the widespread availability of their HD 6970 and HD 6950 cards.  They are everywhere on Newegg and other e-tailers as of this writing. GIGABYTE has given us a reference card in every sense of the word, with clock speeds of 800MHz for the core and 1.25/5GHz for the memory. The performance is just below the GTX 570 in most instances and above it in one instance. This card is excellent for its value priced at $299.99 and if you’re in the market for a high-end card, this is a good choice, especially if you’re looking for a dual-card system but that is a different review. For now, the GIGABYTE HD 6950 offers stellar performance, great features and a 3 year warranty. Temperatures were 48C idle and 78C on full power meaning much lower temperatures than a GTX 570.

Gigabyte is one of the most solid companies in the PC industry and today we take a look at their all new RADEON HD-6950, here in time for the holidays!
