The concept of a gaming keyboard has been hard to realize for most because every gamer is different. Some may want plenty of macros in order to chain all of their combos effectively while others would rather just have a few macros with incredible keystroke response. Most of the time companies respond to this demand by slapping on a few extra keys, make a stylish GUI and call it a gaming keyboard. However, Gigabyte does not follow this horrible trend and has created a great gaming keyboard. Let’s see how Gigabyte holds up against competitors such as Logitech or Razer with their new Aivia K8100 Gaming Keyboard.
When you first look at the casing, everyone will notice that the sheer size of this keyboard is massive. This is definitely not a keyboard you would want to install at the office. The keyboard’s design is sleek and unique with an enormous wrist rest that can be detached if the user wishes it. I am usually not a big fan of a wrist rest but Gigabyte really thought about the design and feel of it. The keyboard feels surprisingly better with the gigantic wrist rest. Many people will notice that the design of the keyboard resembles the sleekness of a sports car, such as a Lamborghini or Ferrari. Even the engraving of the Aivia K8100 logo is very similar to a sports car logo. It is definitely a more futuristic design that is both aesthetically pleasing and comfortable. Below are the package contents and key features that this keyboard has to offer.
