Table of Contents:
ECS uses a modified version of the American Megatrends AMIBIOS with support for Windows Plug and Play. The standard configuration menu has Main, Advanced, Chipset, M.I.B. III, and Boot Security and Save and Exit submenus. The Main menu is where the Date and Time are displayed. The Advanced menu is where the LAN, eJiffy, PC Health Status, Power Management, ACPI Settings, CPU Configuration, SATA Configuration, USB Configuration and Trusted Computing are located.
The eJiffy Configuration menu is where you turn on the Linux mini-OS eJiffy. The Power Management menu is where you set the various Power states on the motherboard. CPU Configuration shows the CPU clock speed, and the various features of the CPU including EMT64, Processor speed, stepping, microcode, number of cores, whether HT is enabled and other features. Most of the tweaking features of the board are done in the MIB III (Motherboard Intelligent BIOS) submenu.
There is an Integrated Clock Chip Configuration menu where you set the overclocking profiles on the BIOS. Performance Tuning is where the CPU Configuration and Chipset Configuration submenus are located. In Turbo mode, you can control the IA Core Current, the TDP, the EIST and Turbo mode. The Chipset menu controls the Memory timings and graphics configuration. The H67 Express chipset does not support overclocking the multiplier so only the graphics clock can be modified here.
