Cooler Master, HAF X nVidia Edition Case Review

Sat, 2011-05-21 13:49 -- B. Ramirez

This case is either going to be something you love, or something you hate. Personally, I find the style of this case to be really nice. This militaristic theme that Cooler Master has given to the HAF series is the kind of styling that I find appealing in a case. I like the nVidia black and green theme. This case is based on the Cooler Master HAF X, so it retains most of that cases’ features. I do like the rubberized green exterior. This is a nice touch that isn't seen on too many cases. On the side panel you have the nVidia claw logo, and the window itself has a green tint. This case really stands out, and will make a great addition to just about any gaming set-up.

Even by Full Tower standards this is a large case. The fact that it comes with casters should be an indication that it isn’t your typical tower. This case comes with plenty of large fans. Three 230mm fans and a 140 mm fan in the back for exhaust. There is even an included 120mm fan on the GPU shroud. The nice thing about the included fans is that they do move quite a bit of air without sounding like you have a jet engine in your room. This case also lends itself very well for water-cooling. There is enough room at the top of the case for a 360 radiator in a push-pull configuration. Being that it’s a Full Tower there is plenty of room for pumps and reservoirs as well.

In conclusion, this is one of the best Full Tower cases on the market. It features a very nice nVidia theme that will compliment just about any gaming setup. It is a rather expensive case at 200 bucks.
