Assuming you have all four displays set up in the same aspect ratio and resolution, setup could not be easier. Simply plug in HDMI cables from the sources i.e. PS3, PC, Xbox 360, etc to the HDMI Out ports on the device then plug the displays into the HDMI In ports. Plug in the power cable, turn the unit on and you’re done.
ATEN says that the first HDMI port on the device is the one the others will use to select their settings. This is why I would recommend setting aspect ratios and resolutions beforehand so there are no compatibility problems with a 4:3 computer monitor and three 1080p HDTVs for example. Using the switch after installing everything and powering it on is as simple as pushing one of the buttons or using the remote.
he ATEN DVMS is an excellent product for those having the need for multiple selectable HDMI inputs and a variable HDMI output, bars, churches and anyone who has this need will find the VM0404H a very handy tool.
