Mafia II was released a short while ago from 2K Games. The first version of the game was released an eternity ago in PC terms, 2000. This game is set in Empire Bay City a fictional version of New York in two time periods one just after WW2 and one set in the 1950s. The game was totally playable on the ASUS HD 6870 with frame rates in the 50s even with 8x AA and AF turned on. DirectX 9.0 games should be handled by this card with ease.
The second game I tried on the ASUS EAH6850 was Aliens Versus Predator. This game is based upon the comic book and film franchise of the same name. AVP has a long history of games dating back to the Atari Jaguar. The latest version of this game has support for Tessellation on the Aliens and Predator characters. The game played extremely well on the HD 6850 card with high frame rates throughout the game and playable frame rates at 1920x1200 4x FSAA 16x AF.
