The EAH6850 is a shorter card than the reference design by 0.5cm at 24cm long. ASUS puts a shroud that is custom designed for the graphics card. The center of the card has a 9-fin fan with large blades on it. The design of the cooler is similar to other DirectCU cards. There are two ASUS logos and red racing stripes on the cooler.

The card came with light blue colored covers for the PCI Express connector, the Crossfire Bridge and the DVI connections to protect against damage during shipping. TH back of the card has four spring mounted screws to hold the GPU in place.  Also present here is the Part and Serial Number stickers. The top of the card has two copper heatpipes leading to the copper heat plate covering the graphics chip.

The rear I/O on the card consists of the same connections as the reference design in the form of a DisplayPort connector, two Dual-Link DVI ports and an HDMI port. This card is capable of several monitor displays. The DisplayPort connector is standard 1.2 meaning it has up to 25.6GB/second of bandwidth. The 1.2 standard supports up to two 2560x1600 resolution DisplayPort monitors via daisy chaining adapters or up to four 1920x1200 displays. Considering the fact that you can use two other connectors without using DisplayPort, up to 6 displays can be connected at one time.
