The overall victor is the Gigabyte GA-8IRXP and the victory is by only a small margin and I mean really small. Actually it won by being only one point ahead of the MSI Ultra that scored a 81. The Gigabyte board scored a 85 making it the champion of this shootout. This was a stiff competition contest as all the boards tested were high quality products and by major name contenders. As you can see the boards were tested for their abilities and features and scored in the same manner. The motherboards received points by their own merits not by any other means and anyone who owns these boards can do their own equations for comparisons.

The Editor's choice award will go to the Gigabyte 8IRXP as it was not overclocked as the other motherboards were by default and overall had more than enough great features to pull it ahead of the pack if even by a small margin in this competition. For pure speed the Soltek board wins hands down as it the fastest thing in the shootout and has the scores to back it up. What brings it down are Soltek's absolute lack of anything extra as far as features go. The other boards here are all pretty much middle of the road products that although good lack the overall zest to make it into the winner circle here at the Motherboard.org. Thanks go out to all the manufacturers, MISR and www.jncs.com who provided the motherboards for this shootout.
